You may have heard my voice on NPR. I’ve been Guest Judge and Scorekeeper on Wait Wait Don't Tell Me a few times now. I also do other voiceover work, such as narrating for Legacy List with Matt Paxton on PBS, and other projects.

I’m energized by collaboration. I’ve worked with Ian Chillag on Everything is Alive, Nick van der Kolk on Love+Radio, and the amazing team at the 11th. For that one, I spent six hours in front of a cemetery. It was hot as hell.

As a philosopher, I’m always looking for ways to share ideas. Here’s a reflection on curiosity I did for Creative Mornings, some thoughts on Marshall McLuhan, delivered in an art exhibition based on his works, and a short lecture on racism in American history. In the academy, I taught philosophy, African American studies and media production. My conceptual frame is a mix of Hegelian dialectics and Africana philosophy.

These days, I am mostly focused on media pedagogy. My approach can be summed up as: “There can be no critical thinking without media literacy and the best thinkers are makers.” I founded the media center, through which I’m able to bring my educational perspective to the public. Our most popular initiatives are Levels Up Academy and RESONATE.

I am most helpful to professionals who are contemplating their first creative projects and creatives who are working through big ideas. I most often work with producers, academics and non-profits, as I did in 2022, when I led an NPQ Voicelab cohort through the process of creative ideation and production. I suppose my for hire work could be called Conceptual Services.
